Drone Operator ID Sticker FAQs

Do I need an Operator ID sticker on my drone?

If you are required to have a UK CAA Operator ID, you must display your Operator ID on the relevant drone or model aircraft as required by the current CAA rules. The ID must be clearly visible and legible.

What size does my Drone Operator ID need to be?

The Operator ID must be displayed with characters at least 3mm high. AirPixel prints Operator ID stickers with a minimum 3mm letter height.

Where should I put my Drone Operator ID?

Your Drone Operator ID should be displayed on your drone or model aircraft in a way that is clearly visible and legible when required by the CAA.

The ID should be placed somewhere on the main body of the aircraft where it can be easily seen and should remain securely attached during normal use.

For smaller drones such as the DJI Neo 1 and DJI Neo 2, a standard-sized Operator ID label may be too large. AirPixel therefore produces dedicated DJI Neo 1 & 2 Operator ID Labels, designed specifically for these compact drones.

Are these Drone Operator ID stickers waterproof?

Yes. AirPixel Operator ID stickers are protected with a clear laminate designed to resist water, fading, scratching and everyday wear.

Can I remove the sticker?

Yes. The stickers use a strong adhesive designed to hold securely while allowing clean removal when required, without leaving excessive adhesive residue.

Do the stickers include a QR code?

Yes. The pack includes separate Call If Found QR code labels that can display your contact information when scanned.

Are these stickers suitable for the DJI Neo?

Our standard Operator ID stickers are too large for the compact DJI Neo 1 and Neo 2. We make a dedicated DJI Neo 1 & 2 Operator ID label pack specifically for these drones.

How many Operator ID stickers do I receive?

Each pack contains 5 Operator ID labels, together with 5 Call If Found QR code labels and battery numbering labels 1–3.
